About Your Instructor
Hi! I’m Lauren, and I’ve been “doing cookies” for a couple of years now. I quit my graphic design job to take care of my son, and I quickly lost myself in the crush of mothering a medically complex infant. Eventually I started decorating cookies at home just to have something in my life that was 100% mine… and I fell in love. For me, cookies are like an art form… a delicious art form you can eat. And now I want to show you how to bring your own cookie creations to life, too!

It sure is! Generally speaking, kids ages 5 and up are better able to absorb the lessons and use the tools, but ALL ages can have fun with this class… even if they’re “finger-painting” with frosting. Anything flies with cookie decorating, as far as I’m concerned.
No worries! Everything is prerecorded, so you don’t miss out.

No, you’ll need to have your cookies baked beforehand. But don’t worry! I’ll send you the recipe immediately once you enroll.
Not much! You’ll need to make sure you have all the ingredients on hand ASAP, and you’ll need a batch of cookies and some royal icing ready to go before class begins. But don’t worry, I’ll send you the recipes in advance.
Almost everything you’ll need will most likely already be in your kitchen, and the one “iffy” is very easy to find. Things like fancy cutters, gel food colorings, tipless icing bags, sprinkles, edible food pens, and a scribe tool are nice to have, but not required.
That’s great! This class is perfect for beginners -- including kids!
