When my little one was diagnosed with hypospadias, my urologist let me know it was linked to environmental chemicals found in the things we use every day. That was my wake-up call.
I started scrutinizing everything – from the soap we used, to the toothpaste, and yes, even our food. It wasn't about being perfect, it was about being better. Then my focus turned to synthetic dyes. I couldn't shake the feeling that these unnecessary additives just didn't belong in our lives.
Diving into the world of dye-free, plant-based colors wasn't spurred by drastic changes or alarming reactions, it was a decision to sidestep those additives where I could. I thought, "If I could make my boys' worlds a bit less chaotic, a tad less tantrum-filled, why not ditch the dye?"
Truth be told, I'm not sure if cutting out artificial dyes has made all the difference, but here's what I do know – I feel a sense of relief serving my family something that's just plain clean and simple. And if that means one less meltdown in the grocery store aisle, I'll take it.
This journey has been more than a business move. It's been a labor of love, a step towards simplicity, and a way to share a little piece of my heart with every colorful cookie we create. So, here's to less mess and more magic in our lives. Cheers!
